Angie Le Mar is back, after the sell out box office success of 'The Brothers' and ‘Do You Know Where Your Daughter Is?' the trilogy is complete with her third helping.
Angie Le Mar returns with the long awaited 'Forty’
Five women meet for the first time in 25 years to celebrate Carol’s 40th birthday. What starts out to be an entertaining reunion is interrupted with issues of the past that come home to roost. These friends arrive with great expectations of each other, how will they live up to it? Is the night going to be a complete disaster for Carol?
They say life begins at 40, and 40 is the new 30…. well we’ll see!
Back on stage where she belongs, Angie heads a strong line up of some of Britain’s finest actresses.
Orlessa Altass (Eastenders, SouthWestNine, Emmerdale, Doctors, Tube Tales, Eastenders, Bad Girls, Stereo -Tricycle Theatre) playing Carol, Ellen O’ Grady (Doctors, Goodnight Sweetheart, Bad Girls – The Musical, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe – West Yorks Playhouse) playing Mandy, Carol Moses (Tiata Delights - Almeida/The Maid - Oval House) playing Jennifer, Catherine Hammond (Tell Tara New Writers Festival, The Amen Corner – Bristol Old Vic, The Maintenance Man – Canal Café Theatre, A Slice Of Saturday Night – Bloomsbury Theatre) playing Joyce, and last but by no means least Angie Le Mar who takes the role of Sandra.
Angie Le Mar has been very busy, last year opening her stage school, The Angie Le Mar School Of Expression. The Brothers returns next year with Brothers 2, and this year they start filming the TV series for MTV Base. Look out for new book next year’ Why My Breasts Hurt’ for Little Brown Publishers. Next year Angie steps back on stage with her one women stand up show ‘Blackout’, after a long break from the world of stand up.
Forty is directed by Britain's first black female theatrical Director/Programmer, who first started working at London's Oval House Theatre. She was Acting Artistic director at Contact theatre and artistic Director of Kushite Theatre Company. Karena has worked as a professional theatre director since 1997. Most recently she has directed "Safe" by David Herminstien at West Yorkshire Playhouse"Sweet Yam Kisses" which was conceived by her and written by Courttia Newland and Pat Cumper at the Lyric Hammersmith.

Subject: 'Poetry in the Park' - Sunday, 27 July 2008
Partnas in Rhyme have decided to hold a Summers Day event, simply but effectively entitled, 'Poetry in the Park'.
This fun filled, acoustic, creatively infused, summers day picnic & jamming session, aims to entertain and enlighten both the participants and audience alike.
Details of the day:
The day will kick off at 3pm, in Hyde Park - you'll be able to locate us at the Marble Arch end of the park, Cumberland Gate entrance - and will start with a few games (someone bring a football!), jokes and food.
So please make sure you bring your dish (or two).
As this is an acoustic jamming session, on this occasion there will not be the use of any microphones or amps to plug in any audio equipment. However, if you play an acoustic guitar, please feel free to bring it down.
Artists will be given the opportunity to perform 2 pieces each. There will also be a 'Hotlist' for additional ad-hoc performers, time permitting.

On August 26th S.T.A.R, a project consisting of 3 young men will
walk 131 miles (the equivalent of 5 marathons!) from London to
Birmingham over the course of 4 days. They aim to raise awareness of the
destabilising effect that gun and knife crime are having on our
communities, and to raise money for 2 anti-gun and knife crime charities
and 1 community group, who are showing commitment to making changes in the
community.
The walk of hope, the walk of dignity, the walk of peace...
